One of our favourite luxury villas on the Sandy Lane estate - wonderful private gardens, panoramic views and a very high standard of furnishings throughout. A very special place to stay.
Coco de Mer villa is one of the finest luxury rental villas on Barbados’ prestigious Sandy Lane estate. With panoramic views across the west coast to the Caribbean Sea, the estate is exquisitely designed for relishing life in the open air.
A suspended bridge over a freshwater pond connects the enclosed front garden to the grand entrance hall. The bright, spacious sitting area evokes a sense of vibrant elegance with colourful accents and furnishings and subtle Eastern influences.
A spectacular veranda lines the western edge of the main house, featuring a koi pond and wooden overpass that leads to the al fresco dining area where eight guests can enjoy fabulous feasts at the magnificent coral stone dining table. The luxury gourmet kitchen features quality stainless steel appliances surrounded by marble, warm exotic woods and a breakfast nook with wall-to-wall western windows that reveal a panorama of the gardens.
Ascending from the grand entrance is a curved staircase that leads to the top floor master suite. This suite features a four-poster king bed, private office, en-suite bathroom with whirlpool bath, sitting area and a private balcony offering vistas of the estate and the Caribbean Sea.
There is a wonderful continuity between the two ground floor bedrooms of the main house and the adjacent garden. When the doors and windows are open, the rich green vegetation merges with the coral stone finishes and neutral colours of the bedrooms and their shared patio. Each of the guest bedrooms has en-suite bathrooms and connects to the entertainment room.
Guests can enjoy a dip in the infinity edge swimming pool, bask on elegant lounge chairs under the shade of umbrellas or dine alfresco on the patio of the one-bedroom guest cottage conveniently located on the pool deck. Coco de Mer is a splendid villa ideally suited to family reunions, or two families staying together and special events with friends. Guests of Coco De Mer enjoy the use of the Sandy Lane Beach Club Facility (which includes sun loungers, umbrellas, snack bar, washrooms and showers) on the world famous Sandy Lane Beach.
Prices include all local property fees (1.50%) and taxes (10% SEL).

Property owners tend to accept bookings over the Christmas and New Year period on stricter terms than at other times of year. In general, bookings are subject to a 14 night minimum stay but owners may require a 3 week booking in some cases and will often need to approve dates to fit with their own travel plans or those of other guests. A higher deposit of 50% of the total rental price is payable for such bookings and the balance becomes due earlier at 90 days before arrival.
All prices quoted above have been calculated based on information provided by the owners but are subject to confirmation during December and January as occasionally owners may insist on the higher Christmas rate being applied either side of the main Christmas period. We suggest you contact us for a firm price quotation at this time of year, before making your booking.
